“Promoting the scientific study of evolution”

Welcome to the Australasian Evolution Society web page. We aim to foster interest and intellectual exchange among those interested in all facets of evolution.

The society’s main event is its biannual meeting, where evolutionary biologists come together to present and discuss the current state of evolutionary research in Australasia. 2013 marks the 8th biennial meeting which is being hosted by Deakin University in Geelong. You can find out more about the upcoming conference here!

Membership in the society allows you to participate in our bi-annual conferences and engage with other members and keep up to date with the latest news and information by joining the Australasian Evolution Society Facebook Group.

On our website you can learn about the cutting edge research being conducted by Australasian evolutionary biologists in the Research Highlights section. You can meet the people behind the research in our Q&A section where we get an insight into the minds and imaginations of prominent evolutionary biologists. The links section contains information about institutions across Australasia where evolutionary research is being conducted.

If you have any jobs, events, scholarships etc, that you would like advertised on the site contact our webmaster and we can add it to our news section.
